On April 25th, we headed to the University of Houston’s main campus to inspire the next generation of STEM innovators. Hosting a diverse group of students ranging from elementary through high school, our goal was to make advanced technology both accessible and exciting.
Throughout the day, we brought engineering concepts to life through three interactive pillars:
-
Robotics in Action: We gave students an up-close look at our custom-built robot, demonstrating its mechanics and explaining the engineering challenges we overcame during its development.
-
3D Design & Printing: Participants explored the world of additive manufacturing, learning how to take an idea from a digital 3D model to a physical object.
-
Interactive Coding: We tailored our software sessions to all skill levels, guiding younger students through logic fundamentals using Scratch, while introducing older students to real-world syntax and problem-solving in Python.
Watching the students’ faces light up as they ran their first lines of code or saw the robot move was incredibly rewarding. We are proud to help bridge the gap between classroom theory and hands-on application, and we can’t wait for our next community outreach event!
