We competed in our first tournament on October 25th — a practice event that gave us a great preview of how real matches will play out. It was super exciting! While we didn’t win every match, the ones we did win were absolutely epic.
With our lead driver, Satvik, absent, Dhyan and Parth stepped up and transformed into the next F1 legends. They adapted quickly and took the wheel like pros. We picked up some valuable tactics, like figuring out the optimal distance between our robot and the scoring pit.
Of course, no competition is complete without a few hiccups. At one point, a wheel got stuck on a screw — but surprisingly, that turned out to be a game-changer. Dhyan was still getting the hang of driving when the robot swerved and slammed into the opposing alliance’s score pit, accidentally triggering their lever. Their artifacts spilled out and didn’t count… and we won that round by just ONE POINT!
It was a wild, hilarious moment — and a great reminder that even unexpected mishaps can lead to victory. We learned a ton and had a blast!
