In 2023, Tech Clan entered the MASTERPIECE season with renewed confidence and a hunger to innovate. This year’s theme focused on how we share culture and creativity through the arts — a perfect opportunity to blend our technical skills with imagination.

We started by exploring how technology can enhance artistic experiences. Our innovation project aimed to make museums more interactive for kids using augmented reality and robotics. We designed a prototype that enables individuals with visual or hearing impairments to experience art through touch and interactive feedback, making creativity accessible beyond traditional senses.. It was a hit with judges and sparked great conversations about accessibility and education.

Our robot design took a major leap forward. We built a modular robot with interchangeable attachments, allowing us to tackle multiple missions with precision. We experimented with advanced coding techniques like sensor-based navigation, line following, and timed sequences. Our build sessions were intense, but our teamwork was stronger than ever.

Competition day was electric. We executed missions with confidence, adapted quickly when things went wrong, and supported each other through every round.

MASTERPIECE was a season of growth — not just in robotics, but in leadership, creativity, and outreach. It showed us that engineering and art aren’t opposites — they’re partners in innovation.
