Tech Clan was founded in 2021, a group of curious and determined students ready to take on the world of robotics. We began our journey in FIRST LEGO League (FLL), and over the next three years, we grew not just in skill, but in spirit, creativity, and teamwork. Each season brought a new theme, new challenges, and new opportunities to push ourselves further. Here’s how we evolved through the seasons:
🔋 2022 – SUPERPOWERED: Our Spark Ignites
In 2022, Tech Clan officially entered the FIRST LEGO League arena with the SUPERPOWERED season — a theme focused on energy systems and how we power our world. As a brand-new team, we were excited, nervous, and ready to learn. This was our first taste of competitive robotics, and it challenged us to think beyond just building and coding.
We started by researching how energy is generated, stored, and distributed, diving into topics like renewable sources, smart grids, and energy efficiency. Our innovation project focused on improving energy use in communities, proposing a system that could reduce waste and promote sustainability. Presenting our ideas to judges and peers helped us develop confidence and communication skills.
Our robot was simple but reliable. We designed it to complete basic missions, and through trial and error, we learned how to fine-tune our attachments and improve our coding. We spent hours testing, adjusting, and cheering each other on. Every successful mission felt like a huge win, and every failure taught us something new.
The competition day was unforgettable. We saw other teams’ robots, learned from their designs, and felt the thrill of performing under pressure. Even though we didn’t win big awards, we walked away with something more valuable — experience, teamwork, and a hunger to improve.
SUPERPOWERED was the season that lit the spark. It showed us what was possible and laid the foundation for everything Tech Clan would become.
